Tris is an exceptional working line Belgian Tervuren imported from Kennel de la Rouquine in the Netherlands, renowned for their commitment to honesty and breeding healthy, stable, and confident working dogs. Tris embodies these qualities impeccably.
Highlights of her pedigree include her sire, Athos KNPV-PH-1 CL, who is a working police dog in the Netherlands, described as being high drive, having excellent structure, serious at work, social at home. Her grandfather Impress de la Rouquine KNPV-PH-1, KNPV-Obj had an outstanding career in KNPV, and as a stud dog. Virus du Musher SR Ring 3 of the famous Lewis x Riki combination is a little further back.
With an excellent temperament characterized by her biddability, boldness, and strong work ethic, Tris is also remarkably sweet and social. Her passion for pleasing her people is evident, and she lives by the motto "Ball is Life," always ready to engage in play and eagerly dropping her ball at anyone's feet for a game. As a mother, Tris excels, instilling in her puppies a clear understanding of acceptable behavior with other dogs.
Tris has her IGP (IPO) 1 title, including "High in Trial" and "High Protection." Her athleticism is remarkable; she effortlessly hops over 4 foot fences, hikes, bikes, and runs with her human companions, especially enjoying off-leash adventures. Despite her boundless energy, Tris is easy to live with, adapts well to various environments, and possesses a discernible off switch, though she's always ready for a game or a cuddle.
In terms of her offspring it's worth noting that some of her puppies have inherited wider-set ears, and there has been variability in size, generally (but not always!) slightly smaller than average with weights ranging from 38 lbs to 65 lbs. Additionally, a few puppies from her first litter have shown a propensity towards arousal, while others had lower food drive. A couple in the second litter appear to have delayed development of play drives. These tendencies require careful consideration for potential handlers.
Despite this, Tris's offspring exhibit remarkable potential, are biddable, stable and a joy to live and work with. As a breeder, I am incredibly pleased with the progress of these pups.
